Salary – NJC Scale 2 (SCP 3-4) Pro-rata annual salary £12,396-£12,631


Herschel Grammar has been successfully running its own catering ‘in house’ for over 23 years and is proud of its 5-star Food Hygiene Rating. This post provides an opportunity to work part-time and during term times only in a busy but friendly school kitchen and dining room. The Catering Assistant will be required to be flexible and reliable. He or she will undertake the whole range of duties in a kitchen/servery including food preparation, serving, operating a till and washing up.

The appointment will be subject to a clear Criminal Record Bureau search.

Fixed term until May ‘23 | Term time including INSET days 

8.15am to 3.15pm including unpaid lunch time of 30 minutes

Rate of pay – NJC Scale 4 SCP point range 8-12 plus London Fringe Allowance

(e.g. pro-rata salary £17,549 - £18,817 depending on experience includes London Weighting)

Some flexibility in hours/days may be possible

 

Herschel Grammar School is a mixed, selective school graded ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible Learning Support Assistant to work with our pupils with special educational needs including visual impairment.

The post holder will be responsible for providing support to SEND pupils inside and outside the classroom and will work within our small but dynamic SEND team. The appointment will be subject to a clear DBS search.
