Eco-Herschel

After the hard work from the past years we finally received our Green Flag!

We’ve been awarded the Green Flag with Merit from all the work done last year!

From the Jubilee river litter clean, creation of bug hotels, reimplementation of all the hard to recycle waste facilities, introduction of hybrid bins all around school, classrooms and offices, and an immense improvement on our school grounds with new shelters, upcycled planters, outdoor table tennis and AstroTurf partial replacement. We have also run several campaigns such as the Hidden treasure hunt (to promote and help families know where to repair, donate or recycle Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment- WEEE), Bin-Fluencers (students to promote recycling through social media) and Eco-Code (needed as part of the applications for GreenFlag and is now our established Eco-Schools ethos).
