Helen Huntley

I began my teaching career in 1983 and I have taught in a number of mainstream secondary and special schools in Slough and Maidenhead in a variety of roles. As well as spending 12 years at Cox Green School as the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and Assistant Headteacher, I spent four years as Deputy Headteacher at Manor Green School, an all age special school for children with complex needs. From January 2008 until August 2018 I was the Headteacher at Haybrook College which has both a special school and Pupil Referral Unit for young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties. I am currently working as a SEND consultant in RBWM and Slough.

I am delighted to be the Vice Chair at Hershel Grammar School with designated responsibilities for Special Educational Needs and safeguarding. It is a wonderful school in which young people feel a great sense of belonging and pride in their school. As well as achieving outstanding exam results, the school ensures that young people are supported and cared for as they prepare for adulthood.
