Alison Oxley

My name is Alison Oxley.

I taught Mathematics at Herschel Grammar School for 32 years and had a variety of additional roles as a Head of Learning and as Assistant Headteacher with responsibilities including Designated Safeguarding Lead, and Pastoral and Personal Development responsibility.

Now retired, I was delighted when I was asked to become a community governor.  I very much look forward to this very different role supporting the school as they take on every new challenge and ensuring best outcomes for all the students.

My family - husband, grown up son and daughter, five young grandchildren (and my mischievous cat Chester) keep me busy.  Alongside Church activities where I lead a youth club, I enjoy spending time in my garden, days out and reading.
