What is Headstart?
Headstart is a charitable trust providing hands-on STEM activities and engineering taster courses to encourage young people into technology-based careers. Taking place at some of the top universities, our courses are perfect for Year 12 students to find out about the exciting career opportunities a degree course might lead to. Our broad-based engineering courses give aflavour of many engineering disciplines and our focus courses provide an insight into highly specialised fields. You can find out more here. Stay up to date by joining our Headstart EDT Facebook group and follow us on - Twitter @HeadstartEDT

Please tell your students about Headstart (Year 12) and Inspire (Year 11 girls)
Past students have told us they want to find out about summer school opportunities from YOU!
Please print and give the attached orange Headstart flyer out to your Year 12 maths and science students and the green Inspire flyers to your Year 11 girls. Perhaps you could upload the information to your VLE, attach it to your e-newsletters to parents, and hand out to students at assemblies and tutor groups. Hard copy flyers can be requested, just email us on headstartteam@etrust.org.uk.

When will offers be sent out?
We will email offers in March/April 2019. If a student is fortunate to get an offer, we recommend they take it as a Headstartcourse will help them refine their degree selection and make their UCAS application really stand out, as it’s so well respected by universities and carries a lot of weight.
