On the 18th July 2017, Year 12 students took part in their own sports day. The day consisted of various events – from space hopper races to a tug-of-war at the end.
With the sun shining and the music booming, the event was off to a good start. The teachers got involved and definitely showed their competitive side which also encouraged all the students to participate and work hard for their own tutor group. With different events running at the same time there was never a dull moment. The tug-of-war proved to be the highlight of the day where both students and teachers competed against each other – with the students claiming victory!
Not only was this an event designed to encourage us all to have fun taking part in the activities and support our team mates, but it was a chance for us all to relax after a year of hard work and get ready for the summer.
Well done to all those who competed and to the winning tutor group 12S. A special thanks to the team of students and teachers who helped to organise and run this event so smoothly. We couldn’t have done it without you!
We hope you all have a fantastic summer.
